The Telegraph reports that local villagers believe “the little girl is a reincarnation of Lord Ganesh, the half person and half elephant, and one of the most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon.”
CNN reports: “the little girl is being hailed as a return of the Hindu goddess of valor, Durga, a fiery deity traditionally depicted with three eyes and many arms.”
Raw Story has AP video. The BBC has updates.
Previously, “[a] toddler born with eight limbs and believed by some to be the reincarnation of the multi-limbed Hindu goddess Vishnu…
The extraordinary eight-limbed baby was born in a poverty-stricken region of Bihar, India – on the day devoted to the celebration of the four-armed Hindu deity Vishnu.”
and before that,
” All the creature’s eyes and legs appear to function normally, but it is not known whether it eats using all three of its mouths.
The amphibian was kept in a container for several hours but hopped away later while nursery staff were showing it to curious parents.”
and then there’s this…
“Lin noted that the turtle walks in a zigzag pattern because the two fully-developed heads which flank a partially developed one cannot agree on which direction to take.”
Now you may be thinking, ‘well thank goodness I don’t live in a polluted backwater like India, the United Kingdom or China.’
But you would be wrong, wrong, wrong.
Meet some mutants from the American food chain, after the jump…
