Some news outlets are complaining that the recent release of Hillary Clinton’s public schedules as First Lady don’t offer much information due to all of the redactions and “heavy deletions” in the documents that have been produced. Perhaps they just weren’t looking hard enough…

ABC News reports: “Hillary Was In White House on ‘Stained Blue Dress’ Day

Hillary Clinton spent the night in the White House on the day her husband had oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, and may have actually been in the White House when it happened, according to records of her schedule released today by the National Archives.

[…] The public schedule for Sen. Clinton on Feb. 28, 1997, the day on which Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress would become stained by the president, shows the first lady spent the morning and the night in the White House.

Wait, the released schedules don’t provide dramatic evidence of Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy experience?

oh, is that why there was so much resistance to releasing them in the first place? Because if they don’t demonstrate executive and foreign policy experience, all that appears to be left is lurid bits of trivia…

UPDATE! … such as Hillary Clinton’s previous support for NAFTA:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton now argues that the North American Free Trade Agreement needs to be renegotiated, but newly released records showed on Wednesday she promoted its passage.

UPDATE! the schedules apparently do shed light on Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy experience:

“Last week, Clinton insisted she played a key role in the Northern Ireland peace talks, saying ‘I wasn’t sitting at the negotiating table but the role I played was instrumental.’“But, according to her White House schedule, while Catholic and Protestant leaders were locked into final negotiations on the terms of their power-sharing agreement in Belfast, Clinton was at the National Press Club in Washington at a ‘Hats On For Bella’ party in honor of late Congresswoman Bella Abzug on April 9, 1998.

“And while President Clinton was making last-minute phone calls to the major players in the peace talks that afernoon, she was meeting with Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel and the Park Service Foundation.

“On the day the agreement was signed, April 10, 1998, she had a private meeting with Philippine first lady Amelita Ramos in the White House’s Yellow Oval room.”
